Police arrest man for allegedly stealing four,900 euros from tourists in Phuket

Police arrested a man who allegedly stole four,900 euros from a Greek household travelling in Phuket. The household had left nearly their cash in their automobile, considering it will be safer than their resort room the place there was no secure to lock anything away while the maid cleaned. The suspect allegedly advised police he spent most of the money and only 500 euros is left.
Reports say footage from a CCTV close by the lodge confirmed footage of a person carrying a black hoody and face masks strolling around the automotive park and looking within the cars. The Greek vacationer Alexandros Alexiadis, who's visiting Phuket along with his household, drove his car to Karon Beach at around 5pm on January 25, visited the grocery store, went back to the lodge, and parked his automobile round 8pm that night time. He forgot in regards to the money and left the car unlocked. The subsequent morning, the money was gone. The story went viral on Thai social media, and they even acquired 51,000 baht from an anonymous donor who wanted to help him while the police have been working on their case.
In CCTV footage, the police observed a shadow on the wall which made it seem that the suspect pulled up on a motorbike. Officers reviewed surveillance digicam footage along the route that the suspect might have used to flee and finally found a video with a rider matching the description. The police proceed following the motorcycle until finding its registration quantity and proprietor.
The automobile owner informed authorities her good friend named Kanapong “First” Sakhoncharoen borrowed her motorcycle on January 25. She told officers that First informed her to borrow a motorbike to visit his mom and introduced it again on the next day. First came back with the money and even showed it to her, the motorbike owner says.
The police finally arrested First on Saturday whereas he was visiting a convenience store near his house. Officers introduced him to Karon Police Station for questioning. The suspect allegedly admitted that he visited completely different locations to rob and stole the money from the automotive outside the Phuket resort..
